Eet- en koffiehuis Cozette
About This Spot
Stepping into Eet- en koffiehuis Cozette, tucked on a quiet street in Gent, feels like finding a small haven away from the city’s usual rhythm. The moment you arrive, there’s an inviting warmth—not just from the soft glow of the lights or the cushioned seating that subtly urges you to linger, but in the gentle hum of genuine conversation and the delicate choreography of baristas crafting each cup with care.
This is a place that moves at a thoughtfully unhurried pace, where the atmosphere encourages you to settle in without distraction. The café’s charm is in its blend of simplicity and unexpected touches—the kind you notice when a flat white arrives with a little art in the foam, or when the aroma of freshly baked pastries gently wraps around you like a quiet greeting.
Dining here is as much about discovery as it is comfort. Plates arrive with a quiet confidence, offering familiar flavors infused with subtle, creative twists—whether that’s a humble croissant elevated by savory layers or a brunch bowl brimming with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The menu’s attentiveness to both classic and plant-based options reflects a thoughtful appreciation for diverse tastes without overwhelming choice.
The staff’s warm presence quietly shapes the experience, making you feel recognized and welcome rather than rushed or merely served. Conversations flow easily, ambient yet never intrusive, echoing a genuine connection between place and people.
For those who appreciate the kind of local spot where every visit feels like a small personal ritual—from the first sip of coffee to the last crumb of cake—Cozette offers a serene, understated joy. It’s less about spectacle and more about shared moments held gently between the familiar and the wonderfully unexpected.

It was a very beautiful and quaint little coffee shop! My latte was so good & so cute with the design on it! I had a croissant with ham, cheese, and much more goodness! I loved every bite - definitely recommend, if they have again. It was on the daily special. My partner had the omelet- I tried a bite and omg it was SO GOOD! The whole atmosphere was very lovely, and the workers were very kind.

Nice little place! Cute coffee bar interior, while also serving original yet delicious food! I had a vegetable dish with minced meat, inspired on Thai larp, but slightly Belgianised (by adding other vegetables), which seems risky but turned out really good! The shakshuka was also with a twist (sweet potato), which was less my cup of tea. Prices were reasonable too and portions generous, so altogether very nice discovery! 4 stars means excellent! I reserve 5 stars for absolutely amazing experiences.

Limited menu but everything is fresh and delicious! The drinks and cake are amazing as well. Would definitely book a table if you're going for lunch, it's always busy, but it's not hard to understand why ;)

Nice warm atmosphere. Cozy interior. Food was well presented and tasted good. Reasonably priced. The cushioned chairs can be very bouncy! Staff was great and pleasant. Loved our visit!

Finally got about visiting Cozette to try out their autumn dishes. Got the Brioche French toast with smoked salmon, creamy tzatziki and fresh dill and a cup of flat white. Didn’t expect the french toast to go so well with the salmon and tzatziki. I hope this is going to be there for much longer in their menu. Also, the flat white, delicious. Keep in mind that they tend to get very busy so finding a spot inside might take a while.

Omg, there are no words to describe this place… it is just magical. Lovely environment full of different seating aéreas, you can choose seating in high chairs, sofas or regular tables. There is an inside and an outside as well. Well prepared for working and studying. Lovely backyard full of plants. Amazing coffee, the best in town, and great humid tasty brownie. Top 1!!!
